The Medicinal Chemistry Division (Divisione di Chimica Farmaceutica) of the Italian Chemical Society organizes the XXIV National Meeting in Medicinal Chemistry (XXIV NMMC) joined with the 10th Young Medicinal Chemists Symposium "Nuove Prospettive in Chimica Farmaceutica" (NPCF10), that will be held in Perugia at the Hotel Giò from September 11th to 14th, 2016.

NMMC and NPCF are very stimulating annual meetings which represent an unequalled appointment for the numerous scientists dealing with medicinal chemistry issues in all their domains and aspects.

At XXIV NMMC and NPCF10, scientists working in the areas of basic, applied, and clinical research meet in a collaborative and collegial atmosphere to review recent developments in all areas of drug discovery and development. Most importantly, XXIV NMMC and NPCF10 will provide a variety of networking opportunities to allow participants to reconnect with old friends and colleagues and establish new scientific relationships with leaders in the medicinal chemistry field.

A multidisciplinary program of interest to medicinal chemists, biologists, and clinicians with an interest in drug research and development will be provided. Main topics to be covered in XXIV NMMC and NPCF10 scientific program include:

  • Cancer
  • Cardiovascular Diseases
  • Central Nervous System Diseases
  • Infectous Diseases
  • Inflammation
  • Metabolic Diseases
  • Nutraceuticals
  • Other

Within these areas of interest, there will be plenary lectures, key-note, oral, flash, and poster presentations dealing with a variety of sub-topics that include:

  • ADMET
  • Biophysics and Analytics in Drug Discovery
  • Computer Aided Methods
  • Drug Delivery
  • Drug Design
  • Epigenetics
  • Pharmaceutical Analysis
  • Pharmaceutical Biotechnology
  • Synthetic Methods and Strategies

The scientific programme includes:

  • three days of scientific presentations
  • plenary lectures of eminent international scientists
  • parallel sessions with keynote, oral and flash communications
  • poster sessions
  • an exhibition by companies working in the field
